If you are working with embedded Linux you will be aware that the Yocto Project is a key component for generating device firmware. This intensive two day workshop will teach you how to make effective use of OpenEmbedded and Yocto Project to create highly functional, reliable system images for your target device. It will show you how to select packages, how to customize system behavior, and how to create your own meta layers. With the relevant information under your belt you will have your embedded Linux system up and running in no time!
This is a hands-on session, with about half of the time taken with practical exercises. You will have access to a cloud compute server where you will be able to build the latest Yocto Project version (Dunfell, v 3.1) and test the resulting operating system. All you need is a laptop, an Internet connection and an ssh client such as OpenSSH (Linux and Mac) or PuTTY (Windows).
