Part 1/2: Using ESP32 for .NET IoT projects

Do you think C# and .NET are just for servers or desktop apps? Think again. With .NET nanoFramework, you can run C# on resource-constrained microcontrollers — ESP32 and friends.

    In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use your familiar .NET tooling to explore embedded development: blinking LEDs, reading sensors, controlling actuators, and sending data to the cloud — all without losing that C# comfort zone. (No soldering required — though a bit of smoke may sneak in.)

    There will be hardware available, kindly offered by M5Stack.

    Computer Setup
    To participate in the lab sessions, participants need a computer running Windows and Visual Studio 2022 installed. If you have it, bring a couple of USB C cables, breadboard, an ESP32 module (or any other supported), sensors, LEDs, wiring.
